The Industrialists

let’s take a trip and discover the new world.
get on the bus and we will make our way
to our eternity. a place we were
warned about, but could never
imagine being true.

what is it we see as we roll over
the crest of the hill?
plumes of scarlet vapor spewing from
the industrialists’ proud project. suffocating
as we drive closer, we share the feeling
of the extinct.

but what are lives to the industrialists
who make their millions
destroying them?

All I can say is it’s good to be back after these last few months. I haven’t written anything during this time as I’ve been working almost non-stop. Plus the holidays are always hectic. Regardless, this is a short poem I wrote this weekend and I wanted to share.

This climate apocalypse theme has been common in my writing. The poem originally was headed in another direction, but as the words started to flow the piece turned into what it is now. It must be my subconscious disgust for how these corporations are treating our environment and the communities they build their factories in. It is happening in my home town and it is extremely upsetting.

My plan for this year is to really dive into my creativity, whether it’s through writing, model building, or even just reading more books. I will be using this space to share my work as I complete it and use it as a way to improve in all aspects of my creative life. I’m really looking forward to it.

Let’s have a great year.
